Thompson moves into playoff contention at Scotties

KAMLOOPS — Karla Thompson’s rink split two games yesterday to move in to playoff contention at the B.C. women’s curling playdowns.

Thompson followed a 10-5 loss with an 8-4 win.

At 2-and-3 the Kamloops Curling Centre rink has moved into a tie for fourth place in the eight team round robin.

The top four make the playoffs.

Marla Mallett, at 5-and-0 is the first rink to clinch a playoff berth.
