'Tips top Blazers 4-0

KAMLOOPS — The Everett Silvertips blew open a 1-0 game with three goals in the third period to cruise to a 4-0 victory over the Kamloops Blazers. 

It was a competitive first period as the Blazers came out strong. Both teams had scoring chances, but both goaltenders were solid as the Blazers outshot the Silvertips 8-7. 

The second period was similar to the first period, but the Silvertips capitalized on a Blazers mistake. Patrick Bajkov took a great feed from Dominic Zwerger for an open net and a 1-0 lead. 

The Blazers trailed 1-0 going into the third period. It was all 'Tips in the third period as they scored three times and outshot the Blazers 13-5, limiting any Blazers chances. 

Carter Hart earned the shutout with 22 saves, while Dylan Ferguson stopped 24 of 28 shots. Both teams were 0-for-2 on the power play. 

The Blazers will look ahead to Saturday as they host the Vancouver Giants. Game time is 7:00pm at the Sandman Centre.
