WILLIAMS LAKE, B.C. — Police in Williams Lake say an officer’s intuition led to a huge weapons and explosives seizure yesterday.

Mounties were en route to another call when they pulled over a vehicle after an officer observed the occupants acting suspiciously.

Cpl. Madonna Saunderson says once the vehicle was pulled over and officers began to take a look, what they found was alarming.

“The vehicle was searched, and it led to a substantial seizure. The people were found to be in possession of a handgun, long barrel firearms, prohibited firearms and various disguises. A further search identified pipe bombs in the vehicle,” stated Saunderson.
