KAMLOOPS — There may be a challenge to Board Chair Denise Harper at tonight’s inaugural meeting of the Kamloops-Thompson School District Board of Trustees.

Harper is running for the leadership of the board once again, but says Trustee Meghan Wade has informed her that she will challenge Harper.

Harper has been chair for the past five years, and says she has loved every minute.

“It becomes a full time job very easily. The gifts that parents allow trustees – to be involved with their students, to be involved with the system that provides their children with their education – is such a generous and invaluable gift and I’ve enjoyed every minute of it.”
