Multiple patients treated after North Shore bus crash

KAMLOOPS — RCMP and BC Ambulance Service say a crash between a Kamloops Transit bus and a Jeep SUV this afternoon could have been much worse.

When emergency crews were dispatched to the intersection of Fort Avenue and Fortune Drive at about 3:45, they were told as many as 19 people were injured.

Accounts differ, but officials now believe the total was five or less.

That includes three passengers from the bus who were taken to Royal Inland Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
