Military probe ordered after service member hurt at 443 squadron near Victoria
ESQUIMALT, B.C. – A member of a military helicopter squadron based near Victoria has been seriously injured in an industrial accident.
A spokesperson for CFB Esquimalt says the accident happened Monday at 443 Maritime Helicopter Squadron, based at Victoria International Airport.
Base commander Capt. Steve Waddell has ordered a full investigation.
A news release says a crisis team was deployed to the squadron to support people who helped the member and anyone else who needs assistance.
