Huge TRU-area apartment complex plan goes to public hearing

KAMLOOPS — A massive new residential development proposed for the Thompson Rivers University area is taking the next step forward.

Kamloops council has sent the 375-unit apartment complex plan to a public hearing.

The complex is planned for a large section of land formerly owned by the Province of BC, located at the corner of McGill Road and Dalhousie Drive.

The 375 units would be spread between six buildings.

The company planning to develop the land, Cross Developments, would need to conduct a traffic impact assessment as part of its preparations for the build.
