TRU to offer Master of Nursing program

KAMLOOPS — The province has approved Thompson Rivers University to offer a Master of Nursing program.

According to the school, TRU could begin offering Masters-level courses in nursing by January.

The program will include five core courses and consist of 33 credits, giving students the option of completing a thesis, major project or major paper.

TRU says there is a growing demand for graduate credentials in the field of nursing, and BC Interior students had previously been forced to leave home to pursue those credentials.
