MERRITT — Two schools in the Merritt and Princeton area will receive provincial funding to improve maintenance systems at their facilities.

Fraser-Nicola MLA Jackie Tegart announced today that Princeton and Merritt Secondary Schools will share $300,000 from the School Enhancement Program.

The funds will upgrade dust collection systems at the schools.

The funds are designed to help school districts extend the life of their schools through various upgrades. Tegart says the projects in Merritt and Princeton will make the equipment more efficient and keep particulate emissions down.
