Chase RCMP confirm death of pedestrian struck by train

CHASE, B.C. —The Chase RCMP Detachment is reporting a 50 year old man has been struck and killed by a train about 5 km west of Chase.

Police say the man was on the tracks around 7:30 a.m. when he was struck by a westbound train.

RCMP, CP Railway Police and the Coroner’s Office attended and rail traffic was stopped for approximately 3.5 hours.
