KAMLOOPS — The second man to plead guilty to the 2011 killing of Archie LePretre in downtown Kamloops has received a life sentence with no chance of parole for 14 years.

Justice Dev Dley handed the sentence to Travis Johnny in BC Supreme Court this afternoon.

Johnny and Anthony Scotchman killed LePretre while he was playing basketball with his cousin at Stuart Wood Elementary School.

Scotchman pleaded guilty to manslaughter, and was sentenced to seven years in prison earlier this year.
