KAMLOOPS — Residents in Westsyde are getting an up-close look at a family of black bears that have settled into the Westmount neighbourhood on Tuesday morning.

The bears, a mom and her two cubs, wandered through Westmount Park in Westsyde before climbing up a tree. The trio have been there all day, and have only moved a little to get more comfortable.

Troy Morrison discovered the bears at around 8:30 in the morning from his back patio. He called Conservation Officers, who decided to leave the bears alone. Morrison says aside from the mother bear snarling at him, the bears have been fairly docile in the tree.
