Dead man found in Kamloops downtown not considered suspicious

KAMLOOPS — Kamloops RCMP say the discovery a dead man in the city’s downtown yesterday is not being considered suspicious.

Corporal Jodi Shelkie says officers were called to the Peterson Creek area near Seventh Avenue and Seymour Street at about 5:40 pm.

They found one man is 50s, deceased.

Another man in his 40s was taken to hospital with unknown health problems.

Shelkie says the case is now with the BC Coroners Service.
