Kamloops man dies following overdose at Kelowna wedding

KELOWNA — A drug overdose in Kelowna has claimed the life of a Kamloops man.

The incident happened Saturday night at a Kelowna hotel, apparently during a wedding reception.

A spokesperson for Interior Health says five people overdosed but the other four have recovered.

They may have taken cocaine laced with fentanyl.

The Facebook page of 27-year-old Edmond Paul Adkins identifies him as the victim.
