Crash injures day care worker, three kids in Vernon

KAMLOOPS — Three toddlers and a day care worker were injured in a vehicle-pedestrian collision in Vernon.

It happened just before 10 this morning at the intersection of 43rd Street and 25th Avenue.

RCMP say a woman was pushing a stroller with the three kids across the intersection when a Ford Focus making a right hand turn at low speed hit them.

The four were taken to Vernon hospital with serious non life threatening injuries.

A 22 year old man was driving the car.

The cause is under investigation.

Investigators are continuing their investigation and have spoken to some witnesses,” says Cpl. Dan Moskaluk.

“Anyone who witnessed the crash and who hasn’t spoken to police yet, are asked to contact the Vernon RCMP at 250-545-7171.”

Moskaluk was not aware of the ages of the children.
