Police nab texters in traffic enforcement blitz

Kamloops RCMP have released the results of a traffic blitz this week.

On Tuesday, officers targeted a pair of busy intersections – Seymour Street and First Avenue downtown, and Tranquille Road and Sydney Avenue on the North Shore.

30 drivers were issued tickets for using electronic devices behind the wheel, and another 21 motorists were given tickets for failing to wear their seatbelts.

Another 26 tickets were issued for a variety of other offences.
