Blazers trim roster to 30 following Blue vs White game

KAMLOOPS — Following last nights Blue-White intra squad game the Blazers have reduced their roster to 30 players.

17 forwards, eleven defensemen, and returning goaltenders Connor Ingram and Dylan Ferguson.

By age it’s three 20-year olds — Matt Revel, Colin Shirley and Dallas Valentine — eight 19-year olds, seven 18’s, five 17’s and six 16-year olds.

All 15-year olds have been returned to their minor hockey teams, with the exception of 2016 second round bantam pick Connor Zary.

Zary will play in Friday nights first pre-season game against Victoria, and then be returned to his midget team in Saskatoon.

One of the other 15-year olds who was sent home is 2016 first round pick Massimo Rizzo.

Rizzo has not signed and is still weighing his options between the Blazers or Junior “A” and then college hockey.

Once a player signs with a Western League team, they are ineligible for the college route.
