VICTORIA —    New data from the province signals good news for tourism and business as the number of international visitors to B-C surpassed the two-million mark in June.

The government says over 2.3 million visitors came to B-C during the first six months of the year — a 12 per cent increase from the same period in 2015.

A number of countries accounted for the increase in visitors.    The number of travellers from the Unites States was up 12 per cent compared to last year, while visitors from Mexico increased by nearly 40 per cent, and from China an increase of 22 per cent.
