KAMLOOPS — Former CFL running back Lovell Coleman died in Kamloops last week at the age of 78.

Coleman starred with the Calgary Stampeders from 1960 to 1967, winning a pair of CFL rushing titles.

He still owns Calgary’s single game rushing record with 238 yards, set in 1964, and was the CFL most outstanding player that season.

Coleman finished his career with the B.C. Lions in 1970.
