KAMLOOPS — The dogs that were seized by Kamloops RCMP on Tuesday evening are in good condition and now ready to return to their owner.

Kamloops By-law, which has been housing the dogs at Animal Control for the past 36 hours, says the 22 dogs — six adults and 16 puppies that were found in a van in Valleyview on Tuesday — are healthy. They are ready to be released.

“The RCMP have advised us that we can release the dogs back to the owner,” says Community Safety and Enforcement manager Jon Wilson. “The dogs are in good condition, they’re not in distress. There’s 22 dogs in total. One of the female adults is just about ready to have another litter of pups, so obviously there’s a lot of work involved in caring for them.”
