Two teenage pedestrians injured in Valleyview crash

KAMLOOPS — Two 17 year old boys are recovering from serious injuries after they were hit by a car while crossing the Trans Canada Highway last night.

Cpl. Cheryl Bush of Kamloops RCMP says the crash happened at about 8:00, where the highway intersects with Tanager Road.

Bush says it appears the boys were not doing anything wrong.

“At this point in time it still remains under investigation, however witnesses indicate the pedestrians did have the light to cross the highway at the time,” said Bush.

The boys were taken to Royal Inland Hospital with serious injuries, but Bush says those injuries are not considered life-threatening.
