KAMLOOPS — The BC Coroners Service has identified the man whose body was found on the shore of Kamloops Lake on July 2.

Darin James Derkson, 49, of no fixed address is believed to have entered the lake approximately 2 and a half months before his body was discovered.

A boater came upon Derkson’s body last month and immediately called police.

The BC Coroners Service has ruled out foul play and Derkson’s family has been informed of his death.
