KAMLOOPS — It’s the one day of the year adults get to be kids again at White Spot.

Today is Pirate Pak day, when the meal usually available to children 10 years and under is available to everyone, with two dollars from every meal going to Zajac Ranch.

White Spot president, Warren Erhart says the company has raised over $450,000 for the ranch, which is for children with chronic or life-threatening conditions.

“Zajac Ranch is really quite unique, because it really does encompass the entire province of British Columbia. If a child from Kamloops, or Kelowna, or Prince George has a chance to go to the ranch, It is province wide in scope and nature. It really deals with children, and we are all about children’s charities,” said Erhart.

Last year Pirate Pak day raised almost $100,000 across 61 restaurants in BC.

The Kamloops locations sold approximately a thousand Pirate Paks, raising around 2 thousand dollars.

People can get their Pirate Paks until 10 tonight when the restaurant closes.
