Kamloops RCMP catch alleged mail thief

KAMLOOPS — A man who was caught red handed on security camera allegedly stealing mail from a North Kamloops apartment building has been arrested.

Police say a 24-year-old man was taken into custody without incident on August 6.

Investigators are recommending charges of theft and mischief.

The suspect is previously known to police, and he will make his first court appearance in October.

A female was also observed on the security camera footage, and RCMP believe they know her identity, but she has not been located yet.
