Dangerous donations cause alarm for Kamloops charity

KAMLOOPS — Most of the time, your donations are welcome by various groups who take those donations and provide them for those who need them.

But, RCMP Corporal Jodi Shelkie says there are some items that just don’t fit.

For example, recently police have received calls from donation pickup points that such things as pellet guns, paint ball guns, swords, knives, live ammunition and brass knuckles.

RCMP have taken these into custody and destroyed them safely.
