KMBA teams win two Baseball B.C. championships

KAMLOOPS — The host teams from Kamloops Minor Baseball won two of the three Baseball B.C. provincial championships at McArthur Island on the weekend.

In 13-U the Riverdogs outscored their opponents 52-8 in going 3-an-0, clinching the gold medal with a 16-0 win over Abbotsford.

The Riverdogs will represent B.C. at the Baseball Canada pee wee triple “AAA” championships in London, Ontario at the end of August.

In the 18-U championship the Riverdogs rallied with six runs in the last two innings for a come from behind 8-6 win over Ladner in the final.
