Province buys new equipment for TRU trades school

KAMLOOPS — The province has doled out some new funding to the Thompson Rivers University School of Trades and Technology.

MLAs Todd Stone and Terry Lake announced $300 thousand in new equipment and tools for carpentry students at the school.

The funding will toward purchasing new sliding compound mitre saws, routers and survey instruments.

In a news release, the government boasts it is investing $185 million in new trades training equipment and facilities throughout BC.
