Arson, 2nd-degree murder charges laid in fire that killed mother of six

PORT MOODY, B.C. — Charges have been laid in a fire that killed a mother of six in Port Moody, B.C.

A tweet from the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team says the accused is facing one count of second-degree murder and two counts of arson causing bodily harm.

It does not identify the accused.

Staff Sgt. Jennifer Pound has said officers responded to reports of a domestic dispute Sunday afternoon and arrived to find the two-storey home engulfed in flames.
