KAMLOOPS — The Kamloops Venom are a win away from clinching their first round junior lacrosse series.

The Venom defeated the South Okanagan Flames 17-11 last night to take a 2-0 lead in the best of five.

It was the first time in six meetings between the Venom and Flames this season that the road team has won.

The Venom will have a chance to wrap up the series tomorrow night at Memorial Arena.

The Vernon Tigers defeated the Armstrong Shamrocks 14-9 to take a 2-0 lead in that series.
