KAMLOOPS — Thrill seekers and outdoor enthusiasts alike are being invited to Sun Peaks tomorrow to help raise money for Fort McMurray’s recovery.

The resort has replaced its annual Toonie Day with ‘High Five for Fort Mac,’ during which customers can spend five dollars plus a non-perishable food item for chairlift access all day.

Spokesman Kyle Taylor says mountain biking, alpine hiking, and wildflower viewing are particularly popular during the summer.

“It’s a great time to come up for our guests right now because we have officially extended our chairlift hours to 7:00 p.m.,” said Taylor.
