KAMLOOPS-  —  A 61 year old Hope resident was killed Saturday afternoon after his northbound motorcycle went out of control on Highway 12 near Lillooet. RCMP say the man lost control of his bike as he was winding downhill through a series of curves.

The man was travelling with another biker who was riding ahead of him and didn’t see the crash occur. Police say the rear driver side of a southbound pickup received minor damage as a result of the incident, but there’s no indication from police as to how the pickup was involved in the mishap.

Police are looking for any witnesses who might have seen the crash. If you have any information, call the Central Interior Services traffic unit in Ashcroft.

The accident happened about 1:30 Saturday afternoon.
