KAMLOOPS — Fastpitch softball was once one of the most popular sports in the Thompson Valley.
In Kamloops alone, there were two leagues, with more than 16 teams between them.
Now, the numbers of athletes playing softball are dwindling, especially on the boys side.
But this season, after a long time without one, there’s a boys team headed to the U-16 softball provincial championship this weekend in Surrey.
