Police investigating after body discovered in Kamloops

KAMLOOPS — The RCMP Serious Crime Unit along with the BC Coroners Service is investigating the discovery of a body late Wednesday afternoon (June 8).

Police were called to a grassy area near the 1300 block of Columbia Street West just after 4pm after receiving a call from someone walking in the area.

Kamloops RCMP Sgt. Darren Michels wrote in a press release, “At this time the discovery of this body is not believed to be criminal in nature, and the investigation is ongoing.”
