KAMLOOPS — Transportation Minister Todd Stone says work will soon begin on a series of upgrades to the Yellowhead Highway north of Kamloops.

The work includes over two kilometres of highway that will be widened to accomodate a passing lane between Kamloops and McLure.

The ministry will also build a Commercial Vehicle Safety Enforcement pullout for drivers to rest and use the washroom, and for CVSE to conduct inspections.

In a news release, Stone says the work is set to begin in June and wrap up by October.
