Potential business owner says Kamloops by-law is no treat

KAMLOOPS — An Alberta woman says she can’t understand why City of Kamloops by-laws don’t allow mobile ice cream trucks to operate within city limits.

Leeann McArthur is planning to move here with her family later this spring, and had wanted to operate a pair of the Dickie Dee-style bikes.

McArthur says it’s a natural fit for this city.

“It gets to be +40°C in Kamloops, and children love ice cream, and they should be able to have a ice-cream truck or a ice-cream bike,” said McArthur.
