SALMON ARM — Crown counsel has approved charges against a Vancouver Island man suspected in an armed bank robbery in Salmon Arm last month.

On March 23, a man walked into the BMO branch in Salmon Arm and gave a teller a note demanding money, with the note stating if she didn’t do it quickly, there would be trouble.

He was handed some cash and took off on foot.

A suspect was arrested in Merritt the next day.
