A man has been taken to Royal Inland Hospital after a collision of two motorcycles in Kamloops Sunday morning.

RCMP responded to the accident on Westsyde Road at approximately 9:47 a.m. Both motorcycles were travelling northbound when the trailing motorcycle hit the back of the leading one, sending both into the ditch. One motorcycle ended up on top of one of the riders.

A 63-year-old man was taken to hospital in serious condition, but he is expected to live.

RCMP don’t believe speed or alcohol were factors in the crash.
