Controlled burn happening near Savona

KAMLOOPS — Ministry of Forests crews are conducting a controlled burn near Savona today.

Crews are working with the Skeetchestn First Nation to burn off a perimeter, thus limiting any forest fires that pop up in the area in the future.

Smoke is expected to be visible throughout the day around Savona and the west end of Kamloops Lake.
