Trial date set for accused in Pritchard police attack

KAMLOOPS — A trial date has been set for two men accused of trying to maim an RCMP officer two years ago in Pritchard.

Jerry Lamar and Leon Leclerc are both charged with attempting to wound, maim, disfigure or endanger.

They are charged after an encounter with Constable Paul Koester on July 5, 2014.

In BC Supreme Court today, a pre-trial conference was set for August 10th, with jury selection scheduled for September 6th.

Admissability arguments will begin September 12th.
