KAMLOOPS — Transportation Minister Todd Stone was out at the Coquihalla Highway today, highlighting a 36-million dollar budget increase for highway maintenance over the next three years.

The increase is meant to cover inflation and increasing costs.

It’s also meant to allow contractors to continue to use new technologies, such as using a beet juice-based formula for de-icing in the winter.
