KAMLOOPS — Kamloops RCMP are investigating a suspicious incident that occurred yesterday (March 15, 2016) on Schubert Drive and Sydney Avenue.

In a news release Cpl. Cheryl Bush indicated "at approximately 6pm a mother observed a male in a vehicle who appeared to be watching her daughter playing in the park. The vehicle then seemed to follow them for a bit as they were walking home."

The suspect and vehicle description is as follows:

  • Caucasian
  • In his 30’s
  • Long beard
  • Tanned skin
  • Wearing a black hat
  • The vehicle is described as a newer, silver, 4 door car with tinted windows and a BC license plate beginning with the letter “V”.

Police are using this as a reminder to parents to review stranger danger protocols with their children, especially as the temperature warms up and children are outside more.

If you have information you are asked to call Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000 or contact Crime Stoppers.
