TRU celebrates International Days

KAMLOOPS — Thompson Rivers University is getting ready to kick off International Days this week. 

Beginning Tuesday, students and staff will have the opportunity to share culture, international experience, research and interests, while celebrating the many different countries that are represented at the university. TRU has hundreds of international students, from as far away as Saudi Arabia, Russia, Nigeria, Zimbabwe, Asia, South and Central America.

“We’re striving to become as globally rounded as we can, TRU World does their best to make partnerships with the universities all around the world. We want everyone to be able to come to beautiful Kamloops and TRU, and get an education here in the different programs we offer, obviously there’s certain areas of the world that are more prevelent coming to TRU than others, but we’re striving to make more and more partnerships with other universities to bring more and more people from different areas to TRU, and really increase the diversification of the students here on campus,” says Jen Pallett, International Days Event Coordinator.
