Police investigating suspicious encounter in Upper Sahali

KAMLOOPS — Police are investigating a report of a suspicious male who approached a 17-year-old female yesterday afternoon in Sahali.

The encounter happened in the area of Springview Place and Springhill Drive.

Staff Sergeant Robert Daly says they’re trying to locate the male who approached a 17 year old female standing at a bus stop on Springview Place and Springhill Drive at approximately 12:10 pm March 9th.

The suspect male described as:

  • Race: Caucasian
  • Age: 30 years old
  • Hair: Short brown
  • Weight: 170 pounds
  • Wearing a dark short V-neck shirt with large aviator-style sunglassess

Apparently he was driving a white 4-door Ford Escort with a BC coloured license plate. 

Daly says the man drove past the female as she walked to the bus stop, then did a u-turn and came back. He asked the female if she wanted a ride but when she said “no”, the man began yelling at her, demanding she get in the vehicle. Another vehicle pulled on to the street, and the suspect took off. Anyone with information is asked to contact the RCMP or Crimestoppers.
