KAMLOOPS — The KGHM Ajax mine proposal will once again be front and centre at today’s (March 8) city council meeting.

One of the major items will be discussion of a letter from Federal Environment Minister Catherine McKenna regarding a possible meeting with the Mayor to discuss the mine proposal and hear the city’s viewpoint on the project.

McKenna has indicated she is not considering a full panel review of the proposal, but is willing to listen.

A presentation by Stantec Consulting’s Peter Reid will be sure to draw some questions from Councillors.
