KELOWNA — RCMP, YLW Administration and Transport Canada have deemed the threat to the Kelowna International Airport as non-credible.

Constable Jesse O'Donaghey says it was a hoax.

"We've been working with YLW administration and Transport Canada and have deemed the threat as non-credible, so the airport remains open and it's business as usual."

O'Donaghey says the threat was delivered to airport officials via email.

"The RCMP wish to thank the public and the media for their patience and assistance while they investigate this matter," says O'Donaghey. "The RCMP also wish to extend their gratitude to the Administration and employees of YLW for their assistance and quick response to this dynamic incident."
