KAMLOOPS — Residents are invited to a public meeting to go over City of Kamloops budget proposals tonight (February 23).

The meeting begins at 7 o’clock at the Parkside Lounge at Sandman Centre. City officials say what council decides can affect property taxes and many other services in the community. If residents have an opinion on what the city should spend its money on, tonight will give everyone the chance to speak up.

“We’re going to through all the supplemental items, we’ll have a brief overview, and then residents will have a chance to talk to each of the directors and find out more about the business cases that have been put forward, as well as we’re going to do a quick overview of the operating budget that was approved by council in December,” says Kathy Humphrey, City of Kamloops Finance Director.
