KAMLOOPS — The City of Kamloops will be hosting an open house tomorrow regarding planned upgrades to Todd Road in Barnhartvale.

Barnhartvale Community Association spokesperson Christine Watson is encouraging other residents to attend and have their say about much needed improvements.

“The road is narrow as is, so two cars are tight to pass on the road, and there is no shoulder for anyone to walk on,” said Watson who also added “kids can’t walk to school, people can’t get to the park or go to their friend’s house, and with the winter with the snow, the burms get pushed up so you can’t walk at all, it’s dangerous.”

While a City of Kamloops news release says construction is expected to start in Spring 2019, Watson says residents have been advocating for change for a decade.
