Steve Gainey talks Blazers, his Hockey Hall of Fame father, and Hockey Day

KAMLOOPS — Four days of Scotiabank Hockey Day in Canada kicks off tonight at Sun Peaks with the opening faceoff with the Stanley Cup, and leading up to the big day on Saturday — Ron and Don live from Kamloops, a national telecast featuring three all-Canadian matchups, and a Blazers game Saturday afternoon at 5pm against the Edmonton Oil Kings.

More events are planned for Thursday and Friday, including the 50th anniversary Western Hockey League pro am alumni game tomorrow night at the Sandman Center — with former NHL’ers like Lanny MacDonald and Wendel Clark and Blazers alumni, including this one.
