Two Syrian brothers to arrive in Kamloops

KAMLOOPS — The next wave of Syrian refugees are arriving in Kamloops on Friday evening, according to the President of the Kamloops Islamic Association. 

Faisal Siddiqui says two brothers from the war-torn country are in transition right now and are expected to land at the Kamloops Airport at 7:27 p.m. on Friday.

The brothers are the first of three group it is sponsoring, with help from Refugees and Friends Together. Siddiqui says the association is sponsoring two more refugee groups, one a family of four and the other a single male.
