Banner night for WolfPack teams

KAMLOOPS — It was another banner night for the TRU WolfPack sports teams.

TRU’s basketball teams swept the Mount Royal Cougars this weekend.  On Saturday, the WolfPack women beat Mount Royal 82-63. Michelle Bos had 12 points to lead the way.  TRU’s women’s squad is 10-3 on the year.

The WolfPack men’s team improved to 12-2 to lead the Explorer Division with 81-62 victory over Mount Royal. Luke Morris came off the bench to lead the WolfPack with 20 points.  Josh Wolfram had 19 points.

In Regina: Both the TRU teams won their matches over the University of Regina in straight sets.

The women moved to .500 with a 25-19, 25-16,25-15 win over the Cougars. Iuliia Pakhomenko (Pack-a-menko) had 21 kills to lead the WolfPack who are now 9-9.

The TRU men took Regina 25-15,25-15,25-18. They are 7-11.  Randy Grundmann and Brad Gunter (Gun-ter) each had 11 kills.

The WolfPack volleyball teams are home next weekend against Manitoba at the TCC.
